CIF chairman takes non-executive role at Outsourcery

Outsourcery has appointed founder and chair of the Cloud Industry Forum Andy Burton to a non executive director role to take advantage of his experience of the hosted application environment.

The reseller specialises in the cloud and has been building a reputation in the market fueled by its accreditations, sponsorship of the Tour of Britain cycling race and yesterday saw its co-CEO Piers Linney join the line-up for the next series of Dragons Den.

Burton is closely associated with the Cloud Industry Forum bit also includes spells at Centennial Software and FrontRange Solutions, which involved developing a software asset management portfolio.

Ken Olisa, chairman of Outsourcery, said that it was useful having someone with Burton's experience on board as it looked to grow its business and develop its cloud offerings.

“As the founding Chairman of the UK’s Cloud Industry Forum, he has established himself as one of the leading advocates of cloud-based  services and brings deep operational experience of running at scale and taking cloud services to market," he said.
