CDG and Scalable say their new UK distribution contract will enhance their partners’ ability to cut costs for their customers
CDG has signed an agreement to sell Scalable Software’s cloud-based IT asset and device management package into the channel.
The new contract covers Scalable’s ITAM, software usage metering, software distribution and platform migration solutions, which enable resellers to provide real-time IT cost analysis of hybrid environments, software use analysis and compliance reporting in both on-premise and cloud installations.
Scalable EVP of sales and marketing, Bruce Aboudara, said the firm had found CDG to be a natural fit for the firm.
“The team has deep experience in supporting enterprise software channel development as well as clear insight into the challenges facing today’s enterprise customers. The company’s focus on bringing innovation to its reseller partners was also a reason to make them our partner of choice,” he explained.
Chris Patton, CDG UK commercial director, added, “There are a number of factors increasing management complexity within end-user computing environments, from the increasing use of SaaS and mobile devices to the growing diversity of on-premise application and hardware estates. This changing environment is pushing the capabilities of traditional asset management solutions.

Scalable will also be featured in CDG’s Innovation Showcase, an element of the Channel Innovator programme that it launched at the end of January as part of a wider attempt to introduce resellers to new opportunities around application delivery, data management and security.
