Ingram Micro continues to build its Unified Comms portfolio after signing IP infrastructure specialist Sangoma to add to a growing list of vendors it carries that are operating in that market.
Sangoma joins Cisco, Shoretel and Microsoft Lync and indicates that Ingram is building a UC business that should be in a position to supply all parts of the solution to resellers keen to get into the market.
Sangoma supports Lync with its Netborder Express product that is a server appliance with built-in gateway and SIP connectivity pitched at 500 seat deployments and the distributor is putting together a bundle that will appeal to Microsoft Lync resellers.
Jon Bunyard, director of the Advanced Solutions UK division at Ingram Micro, said that the more partnerships it developed added weight to its "proposition in the unified communications space".
"We consider UC a growing market," he added that it would be talking to existing and potential partners at the Convergence Summit North in Manchester later this month, "we look forward to talking to resellers about the opportunities these partnerships represent in the voice space."
