EMC has appointed TDAzlan as a Velocity distributor partner with a right to sell the vendor's range in the UK with a brief to increase business in the mid-market and SME segments.
Azlan joins Avnet and Arrow in the vendor's distribution fold and has appointed former EMC vendor alliance manager at 2e2 Carl Douglas to run the team that will be handling the storage products.
The distributor has been brought on board to grow mid-market and SME business and will be encouraging partners to build solutions that also take advantage of Cisco data centre and UC products as well as offerings from VMware and Brocade. Azlan is also planning to help train up resellers that want to achieve some of the higher levels of EMC accreditations.
“With the existing skills we have in storage and backup and recovery technologies, along with our strong relationships with vendors of complementary technologies, Azlan is ideally-placed to help resellers working in the mid-market and SMB sectors grow their EMC sales," said Nigel Dunn, UK Director of Azlan.
Opportunities are expanding in every direction around the data centre," added Dunn "We’ll be providing all the support they need to take advantage of the massive potential that EMC solutions present in this growing segment of the market.”
Terry Beale, UK channel director at EMC, said that it would be working with the distributor to help identify new resellers that could be brought onboard and trained up.
