Entatech adds DGM tablets to line card

Alex Scroxton

Entatech has signed up to Android tablets from UK computing hardware specialist DGM in an attempt to help its partners break into a market that has become dominated by multinational vendors.

DGM’s hardware runs both of the most current versions of the Android OS, Jelly Bean and Ice Cream Sandwich, with screen sizes ranging from seven to 10.1 inches.

Entatech said it believed the range effectively met the brief of a number of its resellers, who wanted to be able to offer high-functioning tablets that were still affordable and offered decent margins.

The inclusion of tablet devices in its portfolio would also help it meet some of the challenges presented by the still-declining PC and notebook market. The distie said that with tablets becoming an everyday purchase, it was vital for the channel to have access to kit that competed with similar products on the market.

Dean Langford, electronics channel manager at Entatech, said: “This new product line will greatly increase the breadth and quality of products currently offered to our resellers and will help to establish Entatech as a distributor of tablets.

“It is vital that we’re able to provide our resellers with products that cater to the demands of today’s market and the inclusion of DGM to our portfolio was a natural step for us to take in achieving this,” he added.
