Citrix looks for unified strategy with EMEA channel head

Citrix has appointed an EMEA channel head with a remit to unify and standardise its activities with partners across Europe as it looks to identify areas where it can grow the business.

Marc Botham, joins as senior director EMEA channels at Citrix, reporting in to the vice president of partner sales and strategy EMEA Luca Marinelli and will start looking to develop a partner strategy that can be deployed across the region he covers with improved education and training part of the changes he is expected to introduce.

“Mobile workstyles solutions are a mainstream consideration for many businesses across Europe. The consumerisation of IT continues to heavily influence the enterprise, driving demand for a more cost effective and flexible way of working,” said Botham, “There is a significant opportunity for Citrix partners across EMEA to help businesses meet this demand by providing solutions to embrace flexible working, foster self-service and create more agile IT environments.”

Botham has a CV that includes most recently a position of global channel director - commercial markets at BMC Software, but also spells at McAfee, Symantec and Riverbed Technologies.
