Joy at £1 million sales in a single week for printer reseller

Steve Bell

Printerland, an Altrincham-based printer and ink reseller, has notched up an impressive £1 million worth of sales during a single week in September. The sales follow a focus on the education sector in the run up to schools reopening after the summer holiday.

Turnover for September increased by 42 per cent to £3.2 million compared to 2012 figures. A3 printer sales led the charge rising by 60 per cent.

The company is keen to mark the milestone sales week as it gets set to celebrate its 21st anniversary later this year.

Directors are also rubbing their hands as they gear up for what they call the ‘golden run’ that is the sales period up to Christmas which began in September, a period when most sales are typically made.

James Kight, managing director, Printerland, could barely contain his glee at the £1 million sales but was quick to add: “…[its] a true testament to the hard work and dedication of the team.”

Set up in 1993 by James Kight and Graham Vickers, Printerland resells OKI, Xerox, Lexmark and other leading print vendor products.

Printerland also notched up record annual results, with a £22 million turnover during 2012/13.
