Canon has unveiled the first ten partners that have gained its managed print services accreditation rewarding those that demonstrated an ability to help customers reduce printing costs.
The partners give Canon decent coverage across the UK and Ireland with the list including: Systems Technology, Vision PLC, Azzurri Communications, Bryan S Ryan, Condor Office Solutions, DMC Business Machines, Apogee Corp, Alternative, M2 and IT@Spectrum.
The process of awarding the managed print service (MPS) accreditation, which was awarded on three criteria around standards in service delivery, infrastructure and technology knowledge and the ability to demonstrate to the customer that managed services are delivering value, was handled by imaging research firm Photizo.
"We’ve been delighted with the response to the MPS Accreditation in the UK and it’s fantastic that our partners here are really looking to take on a more consultative role with their customers,” says Matthew Searle, director, partner channel, Canon UK.
“MPS is a great way for partners to grow their business and to help their customers control costs and boost employee productivity. Paper and manual processes frequently bridge the gap between incompatible systems but MPS addresses the wider business issue and represents an excellent opportunity for partners," he added.
The responses from those given the accreditation included commenting on the benefits of standing out from competitors as well as being able to demonstrate to both the vendor and customers that it has the necessary skills to support MPS.
