Cloud specialist Zynstra has launched an appliance backed by HP and Microsoft and signed up Ingram Micro as it looks to widen its channel numbers and gain more customers.
The hybrid cloud player has taken the wraps off its O365Connect, which uses HP hardware and Microsoft's Office 365, aimed at the SME market looking for a combination of hosted services and on-premise kit.
Nick East, CEO of Zynstra, said that it had worked with HP on the hardware front for a while but had approached Microsoft to help smaller firms with security, file and print management as well as signing into Office 365 applications.
At the same time the vendor has also signed up Ingram Micro to increase the number of resellers it works with as it looks to increase the penetration of its technology in the SME market.
"This enables us with Ingram Micro to get a broader channel in the UK," he added that it would be offering more support for partners that came on board to make sure they were up to speed with the technology.
Glenn Woolaghan, Microsoft UK SMB director, small and midmarket solutions and partners unit, said that customers not only wanted access to the cloud but wanted some local presence technology and the Zynstra option delivered on that need.
