Intermedia increases partner commission by a third

Cloud IT services and business apps provider Intermedia has increased the amount of commission it pays out to partners operating under its advisor model in a bid to attract more resellers to its banner.

The firm is currently on a major recruitment drive among partners, as previously reported by MicroScope, and wants to quadruple the amount of business it conducts in the channel this year.

Its latest programme enhancement will impact advisor partners – who offload billing and support to Intermedia – as opposed to white label service providers, and will see commission earned for new customer accounts grow by 33%, from 6% to 8% on data services such as Exchange, Lync and Sharepoint.

Intermedia will also undertake to guarantee commissions for the total lifetime of the account.

The deal is not being offered to private or white label partner, Intermedia said, because the ability to sell under their own brand and manage more aspects of the customer relationship should increase the potential to earn wider margins.

“By offering industry-leading cloud services and by increasing the commissions for our advisor partners we are giving our partners a real edge in the market, which further underlines our commitment to expanding our EMEA business.”
