nconnect picks start-up distie ONE in channel-building exercise

Alex Scroxton

Nconnect, the cloud telephony specialist that launched in the UK in October 2013, has signed a distribution agreement with newly-launched IP solutions provider ONE in a bid to seek out new business for its established channel.

Founded by two former Capstan Communications directors, Geoff Girdler and Scott Elder, ONE has been tasked with growing sales and partner recruitment efforts on behalf of nconnect. It already has a distribution contract with infrastructure vendor LANCOM, with which nconnect has already established interoperability.

Through the partnership, German-owned nconnect hopes to enable higher-revenue solution bundles for partners.

“We’re tapping into greater marketing resources and the skills of a national distributor that has strong relationships with resellers large and small, and all this will help us grow revenues in the UK market,” said UK MD Rami Houbby.

“This partnership is an exciting opportunity for both organisations,” added ONE MD Scott Elder. “Nconnect is a highly simple proposition that complements our portfolio and addresses the pent-up demand for reliable cloud telephony among many resellers’ customers.

“We believe nconnect’s outstanding reliability is a huge advantage, plus its features and overall value are without peer in the cloud telephony space.”

Nconnect parent NFON is targeting strong growth across seven key European markets this year, including the UK, and claims to have seen a 30% increase in its user base in the past 12 months.
