AMD has taken the wraps off a partner programme that includes all the features you would expect but includes a twist with those particularly dedicated system builders getting the chance to access extra support from the chip maker.

The AMD Partner Programme delivers a tiered approach with a range of financial, marketing and technical benefits on offer to those that raise through the ranks from Select, through to provisional premier, premier and the top level of Elite.

But in addition there is a chance for dedicated system builders that are 'ultra-AMD enthusiasts' to gain the Hero Builder badge and supplemental rewards and early access to some of the vendor's technology.

Resellers can access the programme via an updated secure portal that includes all of the training material and marketing assets for partners to take advantage of

Roy Taylor, corporate vice president, channel sales at AMD, said that it had made significant changes to the channel programme to reflect the changes that had taken place at the company to ensure that its support and incentives were relevant to the current product roster.

"Over the last year AMD introduced some ground breaking new technologies with our next-generation APUs, HSA features and our AMD Radeon R-series GPUs," he added that they would not succeed "without a strong and vibrant channel to deliver them".
