Channel player ASM Technologies continues to strike up more vendor relationships and has added Getac to its partner portfolio in a deal which closely follows another recent partnership deal with audio video manufacturer Bose.
Getac designs and manufactures rugged computer systems and is hoping to gain more exposure for its products among larger organisations in its core sectors.
The company has a number of sales channels including a direct sales model and other reseller partner programmes. By partnering with ASM Technologies it is seeking a consultative channel partner that cannot only open up high-volume markets, but also support it in identifying new opportunities.
The official announcement of the deal follows a number of contracts already secured through ASM most notably an £800,000 deal to provide ruggedised tablets for one of the UK’s big six energy companies.
Speaking of the Getac deal Stephen Dale, channel manager, ASM Technologies said: “Getac’s products are trusted around the world to deliver reliable computing and communications in the harshest of environments. They are a truly respected brand in their field.”
Peter Molyneux, president, Getac UK, added: “We required a partner that had accreditation to supply and a strong working relationship with the major enterprise customers in the UK. ASM has rounded out our go-to-market strategy so that we now have solutions from direct sales through to a range of partners for the SME market all the way up to enterprise.”
Getac’s portfolio includes rugged notebooks, tablet PCs and handheld devices for military, police, government, communications, manufacturing and transportation applications.
