Wick Hill creates professional services role to drive growth

As it looks to drive growth for resellers by better equipping them for the changing market Wick Hill has appointed a professional services specialist

Value added distributor Wick Hill has created a new professional services manager role to drive forward its recently announced move to bolster its training and services endeavours

Barry Davies will be stepping into the role and will be in charge of the company’s new custom training centre. Davies has extensive experience in IT training and over a 25 year career has worked for organisations such as Lifetime Training, Pearson in Practice, Global Knowledge and the Information Technology Services Agency.

Davies is also charged with developing and growing Wick Hill's technical and consultancy services to support channel partners with implementations, vendor specific consultancy and optimal product performance.

The company says that Davies’ role and the new training centre have been created following increased demand from resellers for training courses and professional services.  The initiatives also follow a strong period of growth with sales set to exceed US$150 million annually.

Davies said of his appointment: "I'm very much looking forward to working with staff at Wick Hill to further strengthen training and professional services at the company and provide resellers with more revenue-generating courses and professional services, which they can sell alongside solution sales."

The new role is just one of a number of fresh staff intakes as the company seeks to reorganise to accommodate its recent growth. A clear signal that it intends to drive growth even further has also been signalled with the expansion of office space for the sales team.
