Extreme Networks has taken the wraps off a fresh partner programme having completed the integration of Enterasys, which it acquired last autumn, and is hoping the revised programme will tempt fresh talent to join its reseller ranks.
The networking specialist has been working on integrating the Enterasys channel for the past few months and has devised a fresh programme to unify its approach to its two-tier base to encourage partners to take on more its extended portfolio.
There was very little overlap in the two firm's partner bases before the acquisition and Kai Gutzeit, senior director EMEA channels & partners, Extreme Networks, said that it listen to feedback and devised a fresh programme that was launched at the start of the month.
"We have completed the integration of the two companies after seven to eight months and have created the new Extreme. Everything has been integrated and there had been two sets of partners but there is now one partner programme," he said.
Gutzeit added that it was looking for more partners, including in the UK, to sign up as it now felt it had devised an approach, with decent rebates and deal registration, that would appeal to more wired and wireless networking channel players.
"We want to grow the company and we have the capability to work with additional partners and we want to create opportunities for the partner eco system," he said.
