Brocade and Arrow and announce UK distribution agreement

Brocade and Arrow have announced a new distribution agreement which will see the full IP networking solution portfolio opened up to the UK channel.

The two companies said that the relationship would allow Arrow’s resellers to offer a range of software defined networking (SDN) solutions ready for ‘the next generation data centre’.

Recent research commissioned by Brocade and conducted by Vanson Bourne found that 92% of senior IT decision makers believed that their infrastructure was not agile or robust enough to handle next generation applications. The solutions provider said that this sentiment carried a significant opportunity for the channel.

“With the fast moving shift towards the Internet of Everything, Big Data, IaaS and the Cloud there is a significant opportunity for resellers to help their customers adopt the right solutions now for the data centre environment they’ll need in the not so distant future,” said Chris Lamborn, head of distribution EMEA at Brocade.

It has been revealed that Arrow will also allow solutions to be financed through the Brocade Network Subscription offering; a pay-as-you-go programme which allows customers to treat their IT investments as OpEx in order to better manage cash flow.
