ConnectWise plans major push into the UK and Europe

Business management platform player ConnectWise is increasing its commitment to the UK significantly in the months ahead

Business management specialist ConnectWise is planning to has cut the ribbon on London offices as part of its attempts to expand into the UK and Europe and is adding to its headcount to try and add more of an international dimension to its operations.

The firm, which designs business management platforms that are for technology firms and ideally MSPs, is based in the US but from Spring next year will have an office acting as the headquarters for its efforts in the UK and the EU located in the Liverpool Street area.

The vendor is also planning to hold its next quarterly user group in London in February to underline its activity in the market and provide a chance for existing resellers and potential new recruits to hear about its strategy.

The firm has turned to someone with channel expertise to run the London office bringing on board Malcolm Diack, who had been serving as a technical director at one of ConnectWise's UK partners.

“The UK and Europe are significant, growing markets for us: our new London office will be key to giving our partners in the region the level of support they deserve,” said Arnie Bellini, CEO of ConnectWise.

“Along with the office, we will be expanding our European team in order to deliver the highest possible levels of expertise and commitment to our regional partners that sell, service and support technology across Europe," he added.

The firm has been selling in the UK and has already established some channel relationships, including The Final Step, Concise Technologies and Clark-IT.

Raja Pagadala, managing director of The Final Step, a London-based business IT support provider, said that it had been able to grow its revenues with the vendor significantly since taking the product on board.

“The platform gives us a holistic view of each customer relationship and as every service provider knows, the better we understand our customers the more value we can add and the more responsive we can be. We are better able to pinpoint the areas where we truly add value and as a result we are able to build long-term strategic partnerships with our customers," he said.
