Following the launch of a dedicated cloud business unit during the summer, along with the acquisition of sector specialist OpSource, Dimension Data has picked up Microsoft's Cloud Accelerate Partner badge, held by under 1% of Microsoft resellers worldwide.
The service provider already holds Hyper-V Private Cloud partner status, and has been looking to ramp up its focus on cloud design and deployment.
"[This] dovetails well with Dimension Data's strategy around providing clients with a step-by-step approach in their journey towards cloud," said DiData group general manager of Microsoft Solutions, Peter Menadue.
"Over the past few years the Group has been building cloud-related skills and capabilities in the areas of virtualisation, datacentre and storage, managed services and hosting, as well as outsourcing, all critical to enabling cloud architectures," he added.
