Trustmarque has kicked off a campaign to appeal to its cash strapped public sector customers struggling to find budget as the government cuts get ever deeper.
The reseller has kicked off its Work Smart Cost Saving campaign which promises to help public sector users squeeze out costs but maintain security and continue to get efficiency gains.
With the Autumn spending review coming up the screws will be tightened even further on some government departments that will face up to 40% cuts as well as filtering through to local government which is scrambling to reduce its outgoings.
Trustmarque believes that it can help save money by automating processes, use outsourcing for some services and introduce the cloud and SaaS.
The reseller sells to around 1,000 public sector customers and Angelo di Ventura, director of sales and marketing at Trustmarque, said that it needed to maintain that base.
"We have supported organisations through the boom and bust years and we understand better than most the pressures they face. Now we want to assist further by showing the public sector how simple it is to achieve cost savings," he said.
Those resellers that sell into the public sector are already experiencing tougher times as the austerity measures introduced by the coalition government start to bite. October sees the spending review which should finally provide details of where the cuts will fall.
