Companies House fees rise

Companies House fees rise

As reported by BusinessMan on 8 February, Companies House is very keen to receive all submissions electronically rather than on paper. As a result, it announced that from April (last month, sorry about the delay) there is to be a new schedule of pricing for its services.

A quick glance will show readers that paper annual returns have risen from £30 to £40, but there are increased fees for other documents that are submitted by paper instead of electronically. For example, incorporating a company by paper is now £40 (£20 previously) and incorporation of a limited liability partnership is also now £40 (£20 previously).

Sending the incorrect payment will slow down any changes - or submissions - and could lead to a fine.
