The Government, or rather the Intellectual Property Office, is asking business how it can help them make more of their intellectual property assets.
In particular, the IPO wants to understand more about how intellectual property (IP) is used and exploited by small and medium sized businesses.
The Department of Business, Innovation and Skills - of which the IPO is part - wants to see if the IP system helps or hinders businesses now that the world has become so digitally dependent.
Evidence is sought by 1 March 2011 and a report based on responses will be published some time in April.
This was first published in January 2011
