The other day an email dropped into the inbox that cried out for some attention. Apparently someone had recognised my talents and wanted to offer me a job.
At last, I thought, he is one of those legendary headhunting contacts I have heard so much about and finally someone, apart from my current employers, has seen my worth.
But of course other emails came in and that particular one was forgotten. Until this morning, that is, when it becomes clear that part of the fallout from a data attack on Travelodge is that some of its customers appear to be getting these sorts of emails.
I'm not sure what is more embarrassing to admit to, the fact I have indeed stayed at a Travelodge or two, or the way an ego massaging email so clearly had me blushing and ready to press click here.
I never did click here and with the hotel chain being less than open over the latest data breach I'm not sure I will be staying there again anytime soon either.
