At the end of the month two teams of 20 will take to the River Severn in Shrewsbury to settle once and for all the age old rivalry between distributor Enta Technologies (boo!) and voice and data provider Entanet (hurrah!)*
To the winner goes fame, eternal glory and possibly another blog post; to the loser shame, ignominity and a negative story containing unsubstantiated claims!
Both teams will be competing in a series of dragon boat races through a no-doubt treacherous stretch of the river to raise money for the Severn Hospice, a Shrewsbury-based charity that provides palliative care for sufferers of long-term and terminal illnesses and support to their families.
Entanet marketing head Darren Farnden took a break from daubing his staff in the traditional war paint to spook his rivals with a seemingly nonchalent comment.
"We are very much looking forward to this event. Not only will it provide Entanet and our sister company Enta Technologies with a fantastic and fun day out, likely to be steeped in 'friendly competitiveness' but it also helps us to raise money for a very worthy local charity."
