Bell Micro is looking to increase its security sales across Europe next year in an effort to exploit its existing
continental operation.
The distributor has been building its security practice
since entering the market a few years ago and is looking to extend its sales
approach, which encourages resellers with other skills like storage to get
involved with the market, into Europe.
“There are plans now that are determined to take the blend
with data security and the storage message and it might be with some vendors we
already work with and it might be with some different ones because each has got
their own markets and presence,” said Steve Browell, general manager of the
security division Europe at Bell Micro.
He added that it had started discussions with vendors and
some had indicated they already had European partners in place but others were
open to the idea.
“Some are keen to explore it and some are sorted with
distribution but I hope the next time that is reviewed will be get to pitch,”
he added.
