The unified communications (UC) division of Avnet-acquired Horizon is to capitalise on sky-high levels of interest in UC with the launch of a white-label professional services package, pitched at resellers of IP telephony solutions from ShoreTel.

According to Horizon UC director Wayne Gratton, the package has been designed primarily to meet the needs of dealers who don’t have sufficient in-house skills on ShoreTel implementations. It also supports resellers during high-demand periods when their engineers may be deployed elsewhere.

The services package includes installation, network assessment, project management and various maintenance options.

”As we don’t have a direct sales ability, our partners can badge our services confident in the knowledge that we don’t have a hidden agenda,” said Gratton.

ShoreTel vice president of EMEA sales, Mark Swendsen, added: “We are delighted they are addressing the need for increased professional services skills in the channel.”
