Ingram Micro adds to Euro data capture pack

Days after it picked up French POS specialist Eurequat, Ingram Micro has devoured another distributor on the continent, forking out an undisclosed sum for Germany-based Intertrade, which deals in automatic identification and data capture kit.

Added to the acquisitions of Eurequat and UK and Ireland-based Paradigm earlier this year, Ingram Micro claimed the move has given its data capture/point of sale business a pan-European flavour.

Intertrade’s management will now report to Ingram EMEA president Johan Vandenbussche.

Ingram vendor partners responded positively to the acquisition. Zebra Technologies EMEA VP Rod Rodericks said: “[This] will strengthen our relationship and should respond to our resellers’ demands for good availability of Zebra product in their countries.”
