Memory distributor Simms International has strengthened it
management team after bringing in Jon Blows.
Blows follows in the footsteps of fellow ex-Catalus director
Dave Flack, who joined Simms in the wake of the collapse of the firm into
administration last month.
Blows replaces Angela Chadal in the role of commercial
director after she decided to leave the firm after 12 years to pursue other
interests.
Alex Tatham, managing director at Simms International, said
that Blows had a remit to grow the business both organically and through
acquisition.
“Jon has been in the memory market for a long time and I am
delighted to be able to have such a strong replacement for Angela,” he said.
Flack holds the potions of external business development
manager and Tatham said he was charged with increasing the number of stockists
for USB storage and SD cards.
“As flash memory becomes ubiquitous and certainly the removable
storage medium of choice, it surprising as to just how many retailers don’t yet
stock USB memory or SD cards,” he said.
