Bell Micro have appointed John Toal as president of its
European operations tasked with responsibility for driving the continental
operations.
Toal, who was previously director of enterprise sales, will
take some of the weight off the shoulders of Graeme Watt, president of worldwide
distribution, who will now concentrate on the global picture.
Toal is going to be charged with identifying new market
opportunities in Europe and said in a statement that he hoped he could
expand the European business.
Graeme Watt said that Toal had proved his ability since
joining Bell Micro in 2004, as part of the OpenPSL acquisition, and had helped
grow the enterprise division.
“Based on his track record, he is an excellent choice to
help us continue our quest to drive Bell Micro’s European business forward,” he
said.
Earlier this week Bell Micro indicated that one of its plans
was to increase the volume of security products it sold across.
