Westcon Group has added
wireless LAN security, performance and compliance specialist AirMagnet to its
roster of vendors in EMEA.
Under the terms of the
agreement signed this week, Westcon’s reseller network will have access to
AirMagnet’s entire product portfolio, including its flagship VoFI Analyzer
solution.
AirMagnet EMEA managing
director, Ian Schenkel, believed the low rate of adoption of WLAN solutions in
the enterprise environment – under 20 per cent in most markets – meant that the
market would develop “substantially” by the end of the decade.
“Our agreement will help to
drive growth by enabling systems integrators and customers to plan and deploy
secure, manageable wireless infrastructure easily and with confidence,” he
said.

Technology Solutions Group VP, believed the agreement would help resellers
overcome issues surrounding compliance and security that have meant WLAN
deployments were tough to get to grips with.
