Enterprise comms solutions provider Aastra has signed up to HP
ProCurve’s Alliance
programme that will enable it to offer ProCurve’s network foundation products
as a base to build its UC and VoIP solutions on.
Aastra president and co-CEO Tony
Shen said the agreement would be of particular benefit to its customers in the
large enterprise sector, which Canada-based Aastra has made a key area of
focus.
“ProCurve’s approach
includes fully secure, open standards-based solutions which offer
interoperability and support Aastra’s technology,” Shen said. “This means
customers can enjoy higher ROI and lower cost of ownership.”
ProCurve and Aastra will be
working together on a global basis, although they will focus on EMEA to begin
with. Aastra revealed its NeXspan IP PBX and SIP telephony gear will be the
first of its products available through the Alliance.
