Alcatel-Lucent has announced it is to give business partners
in the UK and Ireland
increased assistance in addressing the SME sector with the launch of a new
strategy aimed specifically at the small to medium end of the market.
The strategy, launched today, will include marketing
campaigns, customised sales and messaging guidance and sales methodology
training.
A new incentive scheme launched in tandem with the SME drive
will reward partners for high sales volumes into the sector, with a particular
emphasis on dealers reselling Alcatel-Lucent’s Office Communications Solutions
2008 package.
Alcatel-Lucent vice president of enterprise for the UK and Ireland, David Parker, said the
scheme would help dealers focus on the lucrative SME sector. “[We are] fully
focused on helping organisations transform themselves into dynamic enterprises
regardless of their size,” he added. “Our strategy will help partners
facilitate further growth by arming them with the tools they need to reach
these new markets.”
Alcatel-Lucent, which recently appointed ex-BT man Ben
Verwaayen to replace outgoing CEO Pat Russo, has also relaunched its mobility
demand generation and sales positioning campaign, dubbed Business in Motion.
