Five months after launching its Unified Communication Video
solution built on Cisco’s HD video-conferencing TelePresence solution, BT has
become one of two global providers to gain certification on TelePresence.
The accreditation confirms that BT’s global network capacity
is up to handling the average TelePresence installation’s heavy demands.
According to Cisco, the certification process covers more
than just static service measurement, including best practices based on
industry standards for network management, which will be subject to an annual
audit to make sure BT is still up to scratch.
“In order to maintain an extremely high-quality experience
while conducting TelePresence meetings, Cisco set up a tough accreditation
process. We are pleased BT has achieved this level of quality,” said Charles
Stucki, Cisco vice-president and general manager, TelePresence group.
