COLT Telecom SME head Andy
Horn has urged SMEs to demand more from their ICT suppliers after signing a
partnership agreement with collaboration specialist vc-net to integrate COLT’s
data and managed services suite into vc-net’s SME solution package.
Vertically focused vc-net
targets sectors including financial and professional services, media and
retail, and the two firms hoped the combination would offer resellers the
chance to up-sell more effective collaboration tools, including
video-conferencing and instant messaging.
Horn believed the
relationship demonstrated the firm’s commitment to delivering its “best-in-class”
comms picture.
According to vc-net partner
marketing manager Julie Brightwell, SMEs were realising the cost benefits of
outsourcing and were “coming to us requesting a cost-effective collaboration
solution”.
She added: “We can now help
companies to remain competitive, and transform their businesses.”
