Virtualisation management specialist Veeam Software has
pitched up in the UK
with plans to appoint a distributor and build a channel.
The vendor provides products that make managing a VMware
world easier and European managing director Colin Wright said it was in
discussions with distributors and was close to unveiling its first signing.
“We are a channel company and are getting it in place with a
2-tier model which will offer good margins,” he said.
He added that being associated with VMware it had a clearly
defined market it could go after and its management tools were aimed at
attracting customers that were struggling with controlling data.
“Faced with systems management issues common to this type of
technology sprawl, customers are now looking for high quality tools that will
safeguard their investment in this new, virtual IT estate,” he said.
“Virtualisation brings lots of benefits, but unless it is managed
and monitored, organisations will find these benefits turning into nightmares,”
he added.
