Hunter replaces Schelling

3 December 2007

Paul Hunter has been named as the UK and Ireland commercial category director for Hewlett-Packard’s personal systems group following the departure of Tim Schelling back to the Netherlands.

Having joined Compaq in 1995, Hunter has since worked in various roles and most recently was HP’s volume sales director for PSG.

"Paul replaces Tim Schelling who will be leaving the UK and Ireland PSG role at the end of the year after three years’ excellent leadership," said a spokesman at the vendor.

The PC division at HP has enjoyed something of a renaissance and in fiscal year 2007 PSG grew revenues by 10 per cent to nearly £6bn, with volumes up 31 per cent compared with the same period a year earlier, and profit increased from £168m to £295m.
