Wireless networking vendor ZyXEL has responded to declining ICT budgets in schools with the launch of a channel-facing Education Programme.
Resellers signing on will be able to take advantage of the firm’s next-day replacement service, ZyAssure, at no extra cost, as well as a five per cent discount on list prices, rising to seven per cent for resellers working in ZyXEL’s partner programme.
Becta-accredited resellers will also receive additional benefits, including enhanced account management, post-installation reviews and pre-sales support among other things.
“Becta is an important and respected organisation,” said Steve Lloyd, ZyXEL education sales manager, “so we expect that partners that have gone through their accreditation process have put a lot of work in, and schools will be able to see a benefit from it.”
Lloyd added that ZyXEL’s focus on the more “cost-effective” end of the market meant shrinking budgets would also give end-users “more bang for their buck”.
