UK-based database security specialist Secerno plans to use a venture capitalist cash injection to expand its channel operations across Europe and the US.
The vendor has received $16m in a second round of funding led by VC Amadeus that it will use to develop its technology as well as expanding its channels.
The attraction of Secerno’s patent pending SynoptiQ technology clinched the funding because the database security tool uses a mathematical approach to produce high levels of accuracy for organisations and government bodies looking to secure data
In a statement, Steve Hurn, CEO of Secerno said it would invest in the technology as well as channels: “We will be even better placed to meet the accelerating market demand for intricate, intelligent database activity monitoring.”
Amadeus partner Richard Anton joins the Secerno board as part of the deal.
